In lyrical students not only work on their ballet and jazz technique but they gain a much deeper understanding for movement and it’s connection with the music. Driven by the lyrics and storytelling our students are encouraged to use their emotion and learn how to share those feelings through dance. Through their technical warmup, students learn a contrast between abrupt and sustained movement with an emphasis on quality of movement, beautiful lines and connecting with your audience. Each class is a journey which ends with a long choreographic combination. Students discover that dance is more than technique and tricks, it is one’s expression through their own story.
Required Dance Attire: : Black leotard, tan tights, tan jazz shoes.
Optional: black fitted shorts over leotard.
